RS AutoIndex is an innovative approach to automate the manual process of indexing imaged documents. Ascend Software developed this unique automated document indexing process.
Imaging solutions for known document layouts allow the use of automated indexing processes such as OCR and ICR.
When you scan dissimilar documents, like AP invoices, the manual indexes is extremely time intensive and prone to errors. Since the purpose of indexing documents is for later retrieval and research, usually at least 3 or 4 index values are preferred. However, the more index values that a document requires, increases the key entry time for each document.
