In 1996 Byelex launched the software concept EQS version 3 onto the market, an Electronic Quality System that allowed companies to describe and maintain all descriptions of their internal process via digital procedures and work instructions, all needed for ISO9000 accreditation. During that same year EQS was awarded as best cross industry solution in Europe and the Middle East. Byelex won the prestigious Lotus Beacon Award ‘96. In 1998 IBM initiated a publication in the United States edition of The Financial Times presenting Byelex as best business partner northern region, this time with EQS version 5. This resulted in the Beacon Award ‘98. In the years after 1998 EQS has brought stability and rest in the ISO housekeeping of numerous well known international companies, organizations and institutions working according to various standards like ISO 9000, QS 9000 or ISO 14000. With two important awards in our pocket and 10 years of practical experience Byelex is now ready for the worldwide introduction of EQS. As soon as information is stored in a computer, it is of the outmost importance that information is protected against unauthorized use. Especially when, like in EQS, a lot of users will have access to one central database. Both EQS systems have their own mechanism to assign rights and authorities to individual users.
