SearchExpress POD Document Imaging
Proving your customers have received the goods and services you delivered is simple when using SearchExpress/POD Document Imaging. With a click of your mouse, you can view, email, or print the signed proof-of-delivery (POD) document proving receipt of goods.

SearchExpress/POD Document Imaging provides browser-based searching of scanned proof-of-delivery documents, with no manual data entry. No more sifting through filing cabinets and drawers of paper to find what you are looking for.

If you want to scan your Accounts Payables invoices, you should checkout our new SearchExpress/Invoice product.

Heres How SearchExpress/POD Document Imaging Works:
When you first print your delivery document, you either print a barcode on each document, or stick a barcode label on each document. The barcode contains the invoice number or other unique identifier. Or, if you do not want to use barcodes, you can manually enter the invoice number when you scan the delivery document.

Your customers sign the delivery documents, as proof of delivery of your goods or services.

Your Accounts Receivable or Transportation department receives the proof-of-delivery (POD) documents.

You use the SearchExpress document scanning software, with a scanner, which scans the delivery documents into either a Microsoft SQL database or a SearchExpress database, on your PC server.

SearchExpress/POD Document Imaging recognizes the barcode and uses the barcode number to get the customer name and number, invoice number and date, order number, delivery ticker number and other identifying information, from your Accounts Receivable invoicing system. For our larger clients, the invoicing system is often a legacy mainframe application.

SearchExpress/POD uses Microsoft .NET to read the invoice data from your invoicing system. This invoice data would be in the form of a comma-separated-value (CSV) file produced from your A/R system.

To search for delivery documents, you use your browser and type in the customer name or number, invoice number or date, order number, delivery ticker number, or other identifying information. UserID and password security is provided to ensure authorized access.

Or, you could use the barcode value, in your A/R invoice record, to link directly to the SearchExpress/Invoice image and display the image of the invoice, without searching. In this case, SearchExpress does not need to read any data from your invoicing system.
