Informatik Image Driver ( TIFF printer driver ) is a raster
driver that creates TIFF and PDF files from any Windows application.
It works like a standard printer driver. Simply send the Microsoft
Word, PDF, Excel, text, etc. document to the TIFF driver (from
the Print menu) and an industry-standard compressed multi-page
TIFF or PDF file, or serialized single-page TIFF files are
created.
With an optional addon formatting program you can also
create JPEG, PNG, GIF, BMP, etc. and many different TIFF
compressions (including TIFF Class F Dialogic and LZW),
text annotations (with merge fields and placeholders), watermarks
and other image manipulation.
The driver can be used to convert proprietary graphics formats;
any file, any format that can be printed in Windows can
be converted to a graphic file. Batch processing is possible
in many cases with OLE Automation or with your own application.
The driver is network supported.
The program file is less than 500k; it installs in less
than 10 seconds and the performance is 3-4 times faster
than similar TIFF drivers. Informatik Image Driver is a
native program; TIFF files are created directly from the
datastream, not via an indirect graphics conversion, hence
the remarkable performance and high system reliability.
The TIFF output files have a comlete tag set and are format
compliant with the strictest industry standards.
