Novell, Inc., and Computhink, Inc. announce the release of the latest version of GroupWise Imaging, previously available in GroupWise 5, for Novells 34 million GroupWise 6+ users to leverage the e-mail, document management and workflow features of GroupWise for electronically scanned and stored images.
GroupWise Imaging merges the traditional separate areas of desktop and electronic publishing into a single collaborative imaging environment at a desktop price point. It allows users to capture, view, store, edit, annotate and email scanned document images across corporate networks and intranets via the GroupWise Universal MailBox.
Groupwise Imaging offers a complete set of features for capturing, viewing, editing and sharing images:
Interaction with GroupWise: The powerful workgroup and workflow features of GroupWise let users view and manage image files from their Universal Mail Boxes just as they would text or email.
Supports Twain, an industry standard Scanner protocol for capturing documents as image files.
Capture, view, edit, annotate and convert a broad array of industry standard Image File formats such as TIFF, JPG, etc.
Full annotation capabilities provide users with the ability to highlight, black out, rubber stamp, attach sticky notes and more.
Fully integrated portable document and electronic publishing capabilities: GroupWise Imaging can convert documents into multiple industry standard file formats; this allows image documents to be shared via the corporate email system, and allows non-GroupWise users to read and edit them as well.
Documents stored in GroupWise via GroupWise Imaging can be upgraded to be stored in ViewWise, Computhinks Enterprise-level Document Management system that runs native on Netware. |
