Bitmap image formats are used for saving and displaying images
like digital photos, scans and screendumps. Because they are
a fixed 'snapshot' of an image, bitmaps are also perfect for
publishing graphical content that doesn't have to be edited
anymore. However, many applications can't save their graphics
as bitmaps, don't do a very good job at it or they export
in a file format that other applications can't support. ps2bitmap
offers a powerful conversion solution for generating high-quality
bitmaps using PostScript as the intermediary format. The software
can be run using the handy interface or in batch mode to convert
large volumes of graphics in real-time.
