PCL and PostScript Converter
software converts PCL5e and PostScript files to formats
for fax, document imaging, and printing systems. Output
formats include single- and multi-page TIFF G3/G4, PCX/DCX
and bitmap. And, the software includes fonts and developer
libraries. For more information on PCL and PostScript Converters,
download the datasheet or contact Lincoln & Co. Sales at
sales@lincolnco.com or (978) 367-3573. PCL and PostScript
Converters are also available in the form of an easily integrated
COM object.
This software allows developers
to interface from Visual Basic, C/C++, Java and any other
compiled programming or scripting language that supports
COM objects. With the COM object, file conversions can be
done consecutively or simultaneously. Consecutive conversions
take place in a background thread and allow the user interface
to remain unblocked during the conversion process. Consecutive
conversions also let you abort the conversion if desired.
Simultaneous conversions are single thread and require the
user to wait for the conversion to finish before performing
any other task.
Key Features Unique to the
COM object Include: Converts PostScript Level 2, PCL5e,
PCL5c, and HP-GL/2 files to image formats. Conforms to Microsoft
COM interface specifications. Runs on Windows 95, 98, NT4,
and 2000. Being tested with Windows XP. Output formats are
TIFF Group 3 (1D & 2D), TIFF Group 4, Color TIFF, CADDY,
binary, and JPEG. Selection of single or multi-page TIFF
files. Extracts text from PostScript and PCL files with
bounding box or test extraction pairs. Provides range of
resolutions, including custom. Splits large PCL files to
create multiple smaller PCL files. PCL5 macros and templates
support PCL cartridges and soft font emulation provided.
