DX ARP
|
One element of meeting SEC compliance for the use of electronic storage media for archiving transaction and report documents—such as statements, confirms, and tax reports—is to verify automatically the quality and accuracy of the storage media recording process (SEC Rule 17-A4 (f)).
DX ARP is designed to perform automated document management tasks, including defining job priority status and scheduling jobs. It works by feeding data reports from a repository or mainframe into the DX Record system. This involves moving the files to their proper directories and updating user menus for access to the reports, deleting unneeded files, and migrating the files to storage media or network application. Should ARP detect an error or corruption of any files moving through the system, it automatically quarantines them into an exception pool for further examination. A directory of those files being rejected by the Queue Manager is provided for easy analysis and disposition. Because of this, quality and accuracy are always assured with minimal human intervention.
In the event of an unexpected shutdown due to an error condition or system interruption, the process can be restarted upon resolution and returned to the data that was being processed at the time or point of termination.
DX ARP is designed to run in a continuous 24/7/365 lights out fashion as an NT service or UNIX background process. |
