Platform Independent Client
The OfficeClip Group Calendar is designed to run on a web browser, which ensures platform independence when used on desktop and web-enabled mobile devices.
Powerful Backend built on the MS SQL Server Database
All the OfficeClip Group Calendar events are stored in an MS SQL Server database, which provides architectual power and flexibility in a data-driven environment. OfficeClip products are bundled with the MSDE (Microsoft Desktop Engine), which offers a low-cost, low-volume database solution which can later be migrated to a heavily loaded, high availability platform.
External Content Publishing
The contents of the OfficeClip Group Calendar can be filtered and published as a web page for external users. Access to the external information canbe controlled from within the OfficeClip administration console.
High-Level Information Flow
Users of the OfficeClip Group Calendar create or access events using a web browser. The request from the web browser goes to the web server, which then utilizes business logic to communicate with the SQL Server database. |
